Inkeeping with the town of Whitchurch
The shop has been created out of an almost derelict Victorian chapel. The whole interior has been built to our specification to create more house build space. The new upper floor is dedicated to storage, office, kitchen and most importantly the new bigger build area.
A selection of something special
Part of the new shop fitting was five new glass wall cases to better display many of the fine miniatures. They have the advantage of keeping more items at eye level. The space below is then free to display the budget houses.
Over 30 houses on display to view
The upper floor is only covering approximately two thirds of the main shop area. This means the very high ceiling allows display of houses more efficiently. Normally there are 30 houses built, painted and on display. Some are also lit.
The shop space has been carefully planned to maximise display space. Whilst the majority of the houses we stock are one twelfth scale, here we can see some one twenty fourth scale, on the left of the top shelf.
Our Collection of something special
Our regular customers may recognise this group of three glass corner cases. Some of the finest furniture and miniatures are displayed in them, despite one of the doors getting broken during the move. It was replaced by the glazier who fitted all the new shop windows.
Lighting for your house
Lighting your house can turn a nice project into something extraordinary. The slat wall at the back of the new shop has a wonderful selection of lights displayed along with everything you need to “electrify” your dolls house.
